Those musicians were known as The Wrecking Crew.\u00a0The Wrecking Crew\u00a0were an elite group of Los Angeles studio musicians who quietly played on hundreds of hit records in the 1960s\u2014and shaped the sound of modern pop. Some info:\u00a0What they did:\u00a0Played backing tracks for major artists who often only added vocals later, Could\u00a0learn and record songs incredibly fast, sometimes cutting multiple hits in a single day, were central to producers who demanded precision and speed. They defined the\u00a0Los Angeles studio sound\u00a0of the 1960s and influenced how records are made to this day.
