A Franklin man was arrested Sunday after police said he tried to break into the New Hampshire State Police barracks in Concord to remove evidence of illicit drug activity from a car the police had previously seized.<\/p>\n
On Jan. 1, a state trooper reportedly stopped a Pontiac Aztec on I-93 in Northfield for defective equipment. Upon searching the vehicle, the trooper discovered evidence of illicit drug activity. The car was immediately seized and towed to the Troop D barracks on Iron Works Road. <\/p>\n
The driver of the car, Erik Parker of Franklin, was arrested on a subsequent offense of driving after license suspension and posted bail for a court appearance.<\/p>\n
A passenger who provided false information about his identity was initially released. He was later identified as Alfred Morin, also of Franklin. <\/p>\n
The next day, the state police learned Morin was going to attempt to retrieve evidence from the seized Pontiac at the Concord barracks. About 3 a.m. Sunday, a Bow police officer on patrol noticed Morin on the fence line of the Troop D barracks.
\nTroopers arrested Morin, and shortly after, they found Parker and Melinda Hanks of Franklin in a car at the Park \u2018N Ride next to the barracks. The three suspects are being held at the Merrimack County jail and will be arraigned this morning.<\/p>\n
