In response to a question in last night’s Senate debate, Scott Brown, tried to clear the air about his knowledge of New Hampshire geography. During the debate, the former Massachusetts senator, stated that the challenges faced by all counties like Sullivan County “north of Concord” were the same, including the national health care law and energy prices.
At that point, debate moderator James Pindell said,“Senator Brown, Sullivan County is west of Concord, it isn’t north of Concord.”
“I believe I answered the question, that the challenges are the same,” Mr. Brown said.
Critics of Brown’s candidacy seized on this as proof of Mr. Brown’s status as a carpetbagger, but Mr. Pindell acknowledged later that the county is both north and west of Concord.

In his interview with Chris Ryan, Scott Brown acknowledged that he had accepted Pindell’s apology and that gotcha type questions are just a part of politics. He claims that the Shaheen campaign sends people to ask those type of questions at Brown’s town hall campaign meetings. He named specific towns and businesses in Sullivan County that are affected by rising costs of electricity and Obamacare premiums. Brown hammered away at Senator Shaheen’s record of support for the Obama agenda and her being against exploring ways to increase energy production. Brown also discussed what he would do to try to revive small town New Hampshire. He believes that steps need to done to improve the business climate, such as: reducing corporate taxes and regulations; controlling healthcare costs; improve access to capital; and lower energy costs.
