Rick Santorum on NH Now

Rick Santorum got the 2016 Presidential chatter started early with a appearance on NH Now on Monday. The 2012 runner-up for the GOP nomination joined Chris Ryan and Jeanne Lester to talk about where Republicans go from here after their set-backs in November.

Santorum said the results may have been different in November if he’d been the nominee.

“We would have been able to go out and aggressively talk about some issues that Governor Romney really couldn’t,” he said. “Obamacare would have been front and center.”

Santorum also wasn’t incredibly dismissive of a run in 2016.

“I think it is too early to be hitting the ground and traveling the early primary states, but I think it is important to stay engaged and continue to build on what we established in the 2012 cycle.”
