President Obama is condemning the murder of journalist James Foley by Islamic extremists. He says the world is appalled by the beheading of Foley and that the group ISIS has no place in the 21st Century. Meanwhile, in Rochester today, Foley’s parents said their 40-year-old son was passionate about reporting and felt compelled to return to the Middle East, despite being held captive in Libya for 44 days in 2011. Foley was kidnapped in Syria in November of 2012.
