The New England Patriots had hoped to go into the Playoffs as the #1 seed, with home field advantage throughout the AFC Playoffs. However, They lost to Miami Dolphins yesterday, 20-10, at Sun Life Stadium.
Tom Brady had 4 pass attempts in the first half, that’s the fewest Brady has had as a starter in a half over his 16 year career. It seemed that
they were playing more to not get hurt, instead of with the need to earn the #1 seed. Brady was hit often and early in the second quarter, had to have his right ankle retaped when his leg took a direct hit from Ndamukong Suh. (N da me cun sue) ???

For the second week in a row, the Patriots (12-4) missed a chance to earn the top playoff seed by winning. Their last shot at the No. 1 seed hinged on Denver losing its regular-season finale to San Diego.
“Wherever we play, we play,” Patriots coach Bill Belichick said. New England has lost their last 6 games. That’s not the kind of momentum they want heading into the playoffs.

The Patriots, very aware Big Games are coming up, rested several injured starters. Brady’s afternoon ended when he was buried on a third-down sack with five minutes left, and he watched the Patriots’ final offensive series from the sideline along with teammate Rob Gronkowski.
Brady finished 12 for 21 for a season-low 134 yards, and was held without a touchdown pass for the first time this season.

The University of New Hampshire rallied, then lost. The Wildcats scored a pair of third-period goals, by Matias Cleland (at 9:46) and Andrew Poturalski (at 16:48), to send their game at Vermont into overtime. But the Catamounts’ Jarrid Privitera scored 40 seconds into the extra session to give UVM a 3-2 triumph at Gutterson Fieldhouse in Burlington.

The Boston Bruins sent forwards Alex Khokhlachev and Seth Griffith to the Providence Bruins in the AHL on Saturday and recalled defenseman Colin Miller back to Boston.
Khokhlachev and Griffith played in one and two games, respectively, with Boston last week.
Miller has 12 points (two goals, 10 assists) in 28 games for the Bruins this season.
