The Patriots are parting ways with Offensive Line Coach Dave DeGuglielmo (Day Guell ee ah moo). Tom Brady was hit at least 20 times by Denver defenders during Sunday’s AFC Championship game, a 20-18 loss to the Broncos. According to Sports Illustrated, that’s the most hits a quarterback has taken in a game since 2006. The offensive line has been an issue for most of the season, due to injuries and inconsistency. DeGuglielmo (Day Guell ee ah moo) was the team’s offensive line coach the last two seasons. In his first season, the offensive line started to flow a bit better after a slow start and the team won the Super Bowl. DeGuglielmo (Day Guell ee ah moo) took over after longtime assistant Dante Scarnecchia retired.

Boston Celtics Coach Brad Stevens knows 5-foot-9 guard Isaiah Thomas rarely faces players his own size. On Monday night, Thomas did great against John Wall and the Washington Wizards, Thomas darted and dazzled all over the court, leading the Celtics to a 116-91 blowout Monday night. Thomas scored a game-high 23 points and added nine assists in three quarters of action as the Celtics held Wall in check to sweep the season series.
The Bruins wasted another lead against the Flyers on Monday night. Brett Connolly kept them from blowing the game. He tipped the wobbly shot and one-hopped the puck past Michel Neuvirth for his seventh goal of the season. Boston has won five of six games as it tries to move up the Eastern Conference standings. Brad Marchand scored a goal for the fifth straight game and Patrice Bergeron also scored for the Bruins.
The Bishop Brady girls’ basketball team hung on to a 44-33 victory over Kennett on Monday night. The game was tight throughout, with the biggest lead at five until the end of the fourth quarter.
