NH Now: Donald J. Trump Discusses His “Temperament.”

GOP Presidential front-runner Donald Trump talks about where he stands in the polls with the NH Primary just days away. Chris Ryan also asks pointed policy questions on middle class economics, his temperament and his personal side.

Donald Trump feels that the size and enthusiasm at his rallies and events prove that his high poll numbers are for real. However, he concedes that the race may be tightening. Trump declined to identify any opponent as a particular threat. The billionaire businessman was asked about how he would improve economic opportunities, especially for the middle class. He questioned administration figures which cite low unemployment. Trump believes that those statistics are inaccurate. He believes that many people have stopped looking for work; and, as a result, they are no longer factored into the Department of Labor’s calculations. Trump stated that the low growth of the GDP indicates how poorly the US economy is really doing. Donald Trump’s solution is to bring jobs back mainly from China and also Mexico. To make the United States more competitive, Trump would lower our corporate tax rate, which is currently the highest in the world, and lower individual taxes.

One factor which has contributed Donald Trump’s popularity has been his effective use of social media. Chris tried to get him to talk about his now famous “Twitter Rants.” Trump refused to characterize his tweets as rants. He feels that he uses them judiciously. He wants to project a temperament that is solid and strong to the 12 million followers which he has on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

Eric Trump, the son of Donald Trump, recently did an interview with Chris. On that occasion, Eric described a softer side to Donald J. Trump that viewers of the Apprentice or the voters have probably never seen. The younger Trump feels that with his family and the workers in the Trump Corporation, Donald Trump is all about compassion and loyalty.
